Yes, yours truly has had one week of special events and as they say in New England, with a wide eyed smile, we have been”Hob Nobbing with the Hoi Polloi”!! As you may recall, last year we had a great visit with golf ledgend Billy Casper, but this week were indeed a red letter days as the invites came streaming in. On Monday, I was invited to a special “Library Event” at the Bloomfield Prosser Library- ( I was a past Library Director), the program was delicious- a how to pair wine with chocolate-YUM! On Wednesday, we were off to the Democratic Convention for the 1st Congressional District held in East Hartford, CT. My old freind, (Yep I have known him for years) US Representative, John B. Larson is running for office again – had a great time at the convention, met folks from throughout the State, had great food and wow the drinks were flowing!!!!
Thursday- off to the 30th Anniversary Party of Duncaster, of Bloomfield, CT-a Type ALife Care community in Bloomfield celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Today, Duncaster is home to vibrant, engaged people. Friday- off to the CT STate Convention for the Selection of next Governor – In fact, Democrats from across Connecticut will gather to nominate candidates for statewide office!!!
And Saturday, Off to my next Travel Adventure aboard the MS Veendam, Holland America Line. Leaving out of Boston and cruising toward Quebec. I will be bloging along the way about the voyage and yes will be bringing you several videos from the trip. Many of you enjoyed our Great Chef Special- Cuisine at Sea, which was taped on the MS Massdam and hosted by Holland America Line Executive Chef, Karl Eller, We will hopefully be taping another segment for you to enjoy.
