Dreams, aspirations and so much talent comes alive on the stage’s of HARTT..
This Saturday, I once again was so proud to be able to attend one of those “theater moments” – I call HARTT Happenings – at The University of Hartford and their production of “9 To 5 – The Musical”.
The original film starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and of course Dolly Parton as three working women who live out their fantasies of getting even with their company’s autocratic, “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot” boss- F. Hart.
A few brief comments- Plain and simply ALL these HARTT students – were excellent!! Singing, dancing, acting – and I came down with a case of The Kvells – which is a good thing. What extraordinary performances from these young folks! Yes- worthy of Broadway!!! As already stated, I was simply proud to be in the audience and see this production.
I send kudos to our “9 To 5” leading stars Sara Schwab, Sara Norton, Gabrielle Filloux, Alessandro Gian Viviano, and Jamaal Fields-Green. Miss Olivia Venton as busybody Roz Keith was absolutely stellar!! I only wish I could name the entire cast here. Btw- Courtney Laine Self, Director and Choreographer – sending you a world of praise!!
I freely admit, I am so grateful to not only get acquainted with many of these super talented young folks as they make their way to broadway, film, and television – plus be among the first to witness their “greatness” at their start of so many blossoming careers. Ok – no swelled heads here- Ok??
HARTT School you are definitely making a difference in so many lives- Bravo to All!
